5. Notices:
a. Regarding Acupuncture:
The treatment time is usually 45 minutes to 1 hour. For some diseases, the treatment time is up to 1.5 hours.
Unlike the needles used in hospital injections, the acupuncture needles we use are very fine, so there is minimal pain when the needle is inserted. Different acupuncture points may produce different sensations, such as a dull ache or a brief tingling sensation along the meridian. These sensations are normal and usually disappear during or after the acupuncture session.
It is not advisable to undergo acupuncture when overly full or hungry, so it is best to have acupuncture at least half an hour after a meal.
b. Regarding Chinese Herbal Medicine:
The Chinese herbal medicines I use are free from toxic side effects. I do not use any herbs prohibited in the UK, even if they are permitted in China. I create customised formulations for each patient based on their specific condition, selecting from hundreds of commonly used herbs. Each patient receives a personalised prescription.
Chinese herbal medicine can be administered internally or externally. Internal administration includes decoctions and powders. Decoctions need to be boiled; for patients who find this inconvenient, I provide powdered forms that can be dissolved in boiling water or taken in capsule form. External administration includes herbal plasters, medicinal wine for topical application, and herbal washes.
I provide detailed guidance on the use of these medicines based on each patient’s individual condition.
